Hell Hath No Fury: A Review of Four Dates Before Christmas by Temitope Omamegbe

Hell Hath No Fury is an African Christmas Romance anthology. Sounds like a mouthful but totally worth it. Every anthology works with a theme and the writers try to bring that theme as close to life as possible.

This anthology is written by 20 African female authors and is a mix of many genres. I had the opportunity of reading Four Dates Before Christmas, written by Temitope Omamegbe.

This is a heartfelt story of love, hope, and forgiveness. Christmas is a special time of the year, a time when even cynical critics dare to believe or hope for a miracle. It’s a time when love is celebrated and families are reunited.

That is the story of our hero and heroine. Bode shows up years after a painful, unexpected break-up to seek forgiveness from ex-girlfriend, Rhoda, who by the way is harboring a secret.

Bode is a calm, handsome, romantic gentleman, a real man that is vastly different from today’s men who deem masculinity as brash, unruly, and uncaring.

For a man seeking forgiveness, Bode also hopes that Rhoda can forgive him and get back together with him.

Bode is struggling with his own demons, demons which are not very familiar in Nigeria.

Temitope wrote a satisfying, delightful piece. Her story will make you smile and fill your insides with warmth, hope, and love. This is the true spirit of Christmas and this story embodies it completely.

The anthology will be officially released by November 27th, 2020 and is up for preorder. Click here to buy this book of deliciousness.
