There Are No Good Girls

Last month was tagged the month of love due to Valentines Day on the 14^th and a lot went down, including the engagement of a popular twerker on instagram.

Suddenly, some people began to get angry and say things like ‘Bad girls get the good men’.

It reminded me of a similar war on twitter when someone proposed that bad girls have better marriages and marry richer men than good girls.

It becomes glaring that some of these ‘good girls’ get resentful when ‘bad girls’ get the  supposed ‘good things’ that they probably have been praying for.

Guys are also included in this situation. It can get hard, seeing a Yahoo boy or such, getting all the money, girls, living the best life while they struggle in their hustles to make ends meet.

My dear, let me burst your bubble.

You, that is calling yourself good girl, hear me and hear me well, ‘There Are NO Good Girls’

I repeat, ‘There are NO good girls’

Why do you call yourself good?

So because you don’t sleep with married men and you go to church, you suddenly begin to feel entitled to ALL of God’s blessings and you get judgmental, jealous and resentful when He betrays you by blessing someone you have deemed as ‘bad’ and ‘unworthy’

My sister, you are suffering from delusion.

And I don’t say this in a derogatory way.

Think carefully. Why are you looking at these people? Why are you spending so much time assessing all the ways you think their life is better than yours?

Don’t you think that this is exactly what the devil wants? Don’t you know that this is exactly why he fills the life of his followers with supposed ‘good’ things?

It’s his plan all along.  To get you to gradually get resentful of God, to make you feel that serving God is of no use and maybe you should just do as others are doing.

First of all, rid yourself of the mentality that you are a good girl. Nobody is good. Your so called righteousness is a filthy rag before God. Even Jesus refused to be called ‘good’ Our Almighty Jesus said He is not ‘Good’ so why do you think you are ‘Good’

Secondly, stop looking outside the window, stop thinking that the grass is greener on the other side. All you see is the flash and pomp they will show to the world. You don’t know what is the real truth behind that life that you envy so much.

Thirdly and most importantly, learn to find peace and contentment in God. Learn to keep your eyes fixed on Him and ask Him to fill you with peace.

He will help you.
